After the recent storms, Hinds County continues its cleanup efforts and removal of debris. In North Jackson we have worked diligently on Hickory Ridge, Calnita, Culleywood, and Sheffield Streets.
So far, we have picked up 90 truckloads of debris across the county. The work continues. The Hinds County Board of Supervisors (BOS) has been working with all municipalities and the unincorporated areas of the county to ensure that no stone is left unturned. The BOS is preparing to enter into an agreement with a local company that will convert this debris into mulch. Our goal is to announce soon where you will be able to pick up mulch free of charge.
We are excited to announce that work on the Beasley Road bridge is expected to be completed by Friday, May 10th.
That's the happenings this week in Hinds County.
