Dust off those running shoes and join us for the 2019 countywide 5K FUN Run/Walk in beautiful Downtown Jackson, MS hosted by the Hinds County Board of Supervisors Human Resources Department on Saturday, March 30, 2019.

Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. and the 5K will start at 8:00 a.m. Beat the crowd and REGISTER ONLINE TODAY!

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS EVENT?

The Hinds County Employee Wellness Program is designed to provide community resources, education and programs that encourage County employees and their families to make healthy lifestyle choices, which will serve to strengthen the existing culture of health, leading to healthier, happier and more effective employees.

The HC Employee Wellness Program enhances employee health by:

  • Fostering interest in & encouraging employees to lead healthier lifestyles
  • Providing diverse wellness programs to meet a wide range of personal health needs
  • Decreasing absenteeism due to illness and stress
  • Developing a positive work culture focused on celebrating & improving the quality of life for all employees

Plus, we just thought it would a lot of fun to have a 5K!

IS THIS EVENT ONLY FOR HINDS COUNTY EMPLOYEES?

Not at all! Hinds County employees have family members and friends whom they care for and love. The larger our employees' support circles are the more likely they will succeed at living healthier lifestyles.

We also care about the quality of life and well-being of each and every Hinds County citizen. So we decided to include everyone in on all the fun.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO REGISTER?

Registration is FREE and can be completed online at www.hindscountyms.com or you can pick up a form at the Hinds County Chancery Court building or the Raymond Courthouse. Register by March 9th to receive a free t-shirt.

HOW CAN I REGISTER?

Registering for the Hinds County 5K Wellness Fun Run/Walk is easy. You have four ways to register:

  1. Online: Complete the Online Registration form, and you're ready to walk; or
  2. In Person: Stop by the Hinds County Chancery Court building in Jackson or the Raymond Courthouse and ask for a registration form; or
  3. Social Media: Like our Facebook Page, HindsCountyMS, and complete your registration form during your visit; or
  4. Email: Request a registration form via email from rhudson@co.hinds.ms.us

CAN I WALK IN A GROUP?

Sure! As a matter of fact, the more the merrier.

IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?

Of course not. This is a family event and we want to see all of our Hinds County family being active and living healthier lives. We do suggest that you bring a stroller for very young children and babies though!
